Third Thursday Concert-Big Uproar
Third Thursday Concerts: Every third Thursday from May-September the Hegeler Carus Mansion presents the Third Thursday Concert Series. Enjoy live music, food trucks, 50/50 raffles, mansion fun facts, and more.
Guests bring their own chairs or blankets and enjoy music under the tree canopy on the Mansion’s West Lawn. Bring your friends and family for a spectacular evening!

Crescendo Tour: Last Trip to the Stars
Join us right after our last Third Thursday Concert on September 18th for a special trip to the highest point of the Mansion: the cupola. Travel up to the 7th floor (via elevator and stairs) and look out onto a beautiful evening in LaSalle. This "night cap" will last 10-15 minutes and be the high point of your evening! Cost: $15/person.

Mansion Explorers: Mad Labs
FREE EVENT! Come one, come all to Mansion Explorers: Mad Lab on October 4th! This FREE event will include science experiments and demonstrations, face painting, trick-or-treat stations, old time games, and so much more! Come in your best Halloween costume and take a picture at our Mad Lab station!
Then tour the Mansion on our special STEAM Tour (for a $5 add-on).
It’s scary how much fun you will have!
Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Spook-tacular Cake Decorating Class
Join us for an evening of spooky cake decorating. Decorate your very own 6-inch round, vanilla or chocolate Halloween-inspired cake in the Hegeler Carus Mansion in LaSalle, IL. All supplies included! Just bring yourself, an apron, and your creativity! This event is a partnership between the Hegeler Carus Mansion and Blue Eyed Rascal Baking Co. Disclaimer- This event is non-refundable.

"The Cat's Meow" Lace Making Workshop
Learn the lost art of Bobbin Lacemaking with Donna, a seasoned lace artist that has been working in lace for over 20 years providing demos and classes, and a member of the Lacemakers and Collectors Exchange. In this 3-hour class you will learn the fundamentals of lacemaking while creating a purr-fectly adorable cat! This event is non-refundable.
Date/Time: Saturday, October 18th, 10am-1pm at the Hegeler Carus Mansion
Cost: $65/person
What is provided: A lacing kit of a 18x20 foam board, bobbins for the project, pins, pincushion, thread, and handouts.

"The Mansion is NOT Haunted" Tour
Digging up the history of the dead! In this fully immersive experience, the macabre aspects of death in the Victorian era will come back to life!
As you move through the Main Floor, stationed and costumed guides will entangle you in a web of customs and superstitions unique to the Gilded Age. Was being buried alive a real cause for fear? Who might you find lurking about in a Victorian cemetery, and why? Appropriate Victorian dress for guests is encouraged but not required (no spiked shoes). This is approximately a 1-hour tour and guests will be directed in intervals on a first come, first serve basis. Persons under 18 are allowed with an adult, but please note that the content is related to Victorian Funeral and Halloween traditions and may be a bit macabre for some audiences (not recommended for those under 10).

Tannenbaum Brunch
Enjoy Brunch and live music holiday style throughout the Mansion!
The Tannenbaum Brunch will feature an elaborately decorated Hegeler Carus Mansion, delicious holiday brunch by Good Morning Good Day Cafe and Blue-Eyed Rascal Bakery Co., holiday music performed by Manderley Strings (violin/viola/cello trio), and a Christmas Tree Silent Auction.
The winning bid will be announced during the brunch.

Holiday Open House
The Hegeler Carus Mansion is all dressed up this holiday season! The Mansion will be adorned with Victorian flair and local friends and businesses will trim the trees.
Don’t have time for a full tour? No worries! On December 13th, come to our our first Holiday Open House. This self-guided mini holiday tour allows visitors to explore the Main Floor of the Mansion at their own pace.
Each room features its on Christmas Tree which guests can vote on for their favorite at the end of their tour.

Tatters' Tales
Tatters, the beloved dog of the Hegeler family, wants you to come to the mansion! For this Tatters’ Tales, come learn how books are made and explore where they used to be printed inside the Mansion. Then use your creativity and stamp your very own book cover!
This program will take place on the ground level of the Hegeler Carus Mansion. Price is per child (Must be accompanied by an adult).
