at the Hegeler Carus Mansion
Saturday night. The 1920’s…somewhere in Illinois
You have come, innocently enough, to an enormous old building. Nestled within are some businesses of ‘questionable’ character. One of these is Karl’s Bad Tavern, a popular speakeasy. Soon after your arrival, a dead body is discovered on the bathroom floor. The owner of the speakeasy, Olive Martini, doesn’t need any more attention brought to the place, so she hires a detective who’s secretly on her payroll to overlook the booze and just solve the murder. The detective quickly realizes that everyone has a criminal record—including you. Can you and your gang of criminal cronies catch the killer?
This fun, interactive, and unique murder mystery was created by the staff and volunteers of the Hegeler Carus Mansion. Everyone is encouraged to dress in 1920’s attire, and light refreshments will be served. All funds raised for and during this event will go toward the Mansion’s restoration projects. The cost is 75$ per person. Spaces are very limited and reservations MUST be purchased online. Your secret password for entry and other ‘hush-hush’ instructions will be issued upon completion of ticket purchase.
