Visit the Mansion

Up to ten guests are guided through the Main and part of the Ground Floors of the Mansion. You’ll see rooms that have been restored as well as rooms in their original state, including the recently restored parquet floors on the main level. In addition, you’ll also hear stories about the family that lived in the home and the legacy they left.

This tour lasts about an hour, and the cost is $18 per adult, $15 per senior/student. Veterans and Active- Duty Military are free of charge. Children under 5 may accompany an adult free of charge.

Are you interested in exploring more of the Mansion? The Expanded Tour is right for you. Our most popular tour, this is a guided adventure beginning in the Reception Room, covering areas of the home both public and private, all the way to the 7th floor Cupola, immersed among the Mansion’s impressive architecture and artifacts.

The Expanded Tour is approximately 2.5 hours in duration, features two walking breaks with complimentary bottled water. It is priced at $110 per person with a maximum capacity of ten (If your group is larger, please contact us directly to schedule a larger private tour).

O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum…The Hegeler Carus Mansion is all dressed up this holiday season! The Mansion will be adorned with Victorian flair and local friends and businesses will trim the trees. The Oh, Christmas Tree Tour is a guided, 45-minute, yuletide experience during which guests experience holiday cheer on the grand Main and Second Floors, including areas not shown on the General Tour. After the tour, don’t forget to vote for your favorite tree.

The fully decorated, one-of-a-kind, trees will be available for auction throughout the holiday season with winning bids announced at our Tannenbaum Brunch on Saturday, Dec. 13.

This NEW Expanded Christmas Tree tour unwraps more of the family history and holiday traditions while taking you to 6 of the 7 levels in the house! You’ll experience the joy of the "Oh, Christmas Tree Tour” with the added bonus of exploring the attics, cupola, gymnasium, and more.

This tour takes approximately 2.5 hours with walking breaks.

Tickets are $125 and allow you see parts of the Mansion rarely open to the public!
